Summary of Skills and Experience Stephanie Hayes has extensive knowledge of best practices associated with the development, implementation and ongoing support of non-profit organizations. Her progressive experience includes the design, development, implementation and maintenance of easy-to-use searchable databases for storing both original internal documents and external resources on issues impacting non-profits and other organizations, such as IRS and other governmental regulations, fundraising, board governance, strategic planning, and expertise. She has been responsible for the compilation of original research and meta-studies of best practices in the non-profit arena to be distributed to consultants and clients through McKinsey and Company. In addition, she has direct experience developing the business plan and organizing resources for, and then managing the implementation of, a successful and sustainable award-winning volunteer and non-profit organization: Single Volunteers Boston. Her experience includes the development of job descriptions and training programs for management teams, conference planning, coordination of conferences and training workshops, preparation of training materials and presentations, strategic planning, and day-to-day management of programs and people in highly competitive environments. Her formal training in the liberal arts has permitted her to expand her knowledge and experience beyond any single discipline. She is an experienced manager of knowledge and information systems from a user’s perspective instead of the gatekeeper of a library. She has become an experienced and successful author of user-friendly and easily retrievable knowledge database programs because she approaches database development from the view of the end-user, rather than the developer. She brings a fresh view to problem solving and program development because of both her training and her ability to view the consequences of actions from the perspective of the intended and unintended targets of those actions.
